We built the country’s first real-time sports broadcasting service over mobile SMS — delivering live ICC Cricket World Cup and FIFA World Cup scores, wickets, goals, and match alerts to millions of subscribers the instant they happened, years before smartphones made live scores ubiquitous.
The challenge
Fans wanted live match updates but had no reliable, instant channel on feature phones. Delivering time-sensitive sports events to millions of subscribers simultaneously — with sub-minute latency — had never been done in the market.
Our approach
We integrated live sports data feeds with a high-throughput SMS gateway capable of fan-out delivery to millions of subscribers per event. Smart routing, queue management, and event-driven triggers ensured every goal, wicket, and result reached fans in near real time.
